  • Artist Statement

There is a unity of purpose to my art: to take art to its furthest limits; to see
what art can and cannot do; to see if paint and brush can express the most transcendental states of matter,
perception, and being. An sudden approach towards views of social, political, and cultural issues. With
this body of work, I aim to reflect on the shared nature of humanity by using the balance of acrylic paint.
The individuals hand-painted piece share a similar curvilinear approach, which incorporates rigged,
uneasy lines, unlike my usual work which tends to have distortion and smoother edges. This design will also feature harmonious blend, which pierce each layer and allow light to form a penetrative connectinglink through harmonious approach to the balance of unity. People must learn to hate, and if they can learnto hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” ―

  • Artist Bio

Hello! My name is Oscar Thomas and I am a graphic designer in Indianapolis, indiana. I specialize in illustration, branding & identity design, and photoshop design. I believe that designis a process, and that through research and exploration, the right solution will present itself. I'vehad the privilege to intern with two well known clients, Amazon, Disney, as well as newbusinesses and startups. My inspiration for my works stems from pure emotion, social awareness, and a combination of the world around me.Principally, my relationship to art has beenas a vehicle for exploration and a catalyst for self-discovery. Many times I have been amazed at the
level of communication art was able to achieve. I have also seen my art become a catalyst in openingup others to their own deep experiences. It is this ability of art to touch people in deep and
mysterious ways that I marvel at and value so much.
